England - Dover to London

We caught the train back into the centre of the city and walked through the Victoria Embankment Gardens. The North Bank Gateway marks the position of the north bank of the Thames River before the construction of the gardens in 1862. This restored gateway was originally built in 1626 for the Duke of Buckingham as an entrance to his York House.
